1️⃣ South Korea's Shinhan Bank tests stablecoin payments on the Hedera network. The goal of the project is to overcome cross-border payment issues such as high costs, lengthy payment times, and lack of tracking features. The program also featured SCB TechX, the technology innovation business unit of Siam Commercial Bank, along with other financial institutions.
2️⃣ Social network Reddit changed its policy to encroach deeper into Web3. According to the Twitter account of Cryptocurrency MOONs (one of the 2 community points of the social network Reddit), there have been changes in the policy of distributing rewards to users. Specifically, Coins and Rewards (two bonus mechanisms in Web2 format) will be eliminated. Instead, the social network will retain the Collectible Avatars and Community Points mechanics.

On July 17, Chainlink announced the deployment of its CCIP cross-chain interoperability protocol mainnet to blockchain networks, initially with Avalanche, Ethereum, Optimism, Polygon, and two DeFi platforms including Aave, Synthetix.
